Simple Lifting Clamp

This project aimed to solve the challenges of existing lifting clamps, which tend to be heavy and have a limited range for thickness, often maxing out at 50mm. The client required a simple, lightweight clamp capable of lifting light but thick parts with ease. In response, we designed a lifting clamp featuring a wide, adjustable jaw to accommodate various part sizes. The clamp consists of a main structure, fixed and movable jaws for secure gripping, and a screw bolt for precise adjustments. The operator simply opens the jaw by twisting the screw bolt, places the clamp on the part, and tightens it for a secure hold. Once clamped, the lifting pad eye can be attached to a hook for efficient and safe lifting. This custom solution not only met the client’s needs but also provided a practical, lightweight tool for handling thick parts in industrial settings.
