Mechanical straightness gauge

This project focused on addressing the limitations of conventional alignment techniques, such as the inaccuracy of card-based methods and the complexity of laser alignment systems. The mechanical straightness gauge developed here features two parallel structures connected by a measuring shaft, which acts as the linear reference for alignment. The shaft is designed to move freely with the help of springs, detecting any misalignment by shifting the position of the measuring disc. This solution offers a simple, yet highly effective alternative for achieving precise alignment in mechanical systems, improving both accuracy and ease of use.
